V.M. Jones is an exciting new talent who is already making her mark internationally.
Her work is directed at pre-and early teens, and is notable for its authentic
characters, convincing dialogue and imaginative plots, which ask searching questions
of her readers.

Biography
V.M. Jones is the pen name of Vicky Jones. She was born in Zambia in
1958 and educated in South Africa, gaining her Bachelor of Arts degree at the
University of Cape Town, where she majored in English, Archaeology and Social
Anthropology. A career as a gemologist followed and she eventually migrated
to New Zealand with her family. While Jones worked for some time as a freelance
marketing consultant, since the publication of Buddy she has been writing full-time.
Her sixth book, Quest for the Sun, was published in June 2005. Together
with Prince of the Wind (2004), Quest completes the Karazan
Quartet, a fantasy series which has been successfully sold into a number
of countries (Japan, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
